Flying Mice? No, They’re Beautiful Bats!

There is a typical house pest, cute, noisy, and able to fly. No, not birds, bats! Though birds have their little article over here. Bats are well-known house invaders but are less commonly spoken about, and bats love many places you would never look. Of course, though, the places they like we humans don’t tend to be fans of. Tight, dark, warm, and most of all private spaces are their preferred homes, which is why they are liable to frenzy should you walk in on them. While pest, bats are cute and should not be exterminated. More than half of their species in the US are listed as Rare, Threatened, or even Endangered, and their populations are in rapid decline. While it is reasonable to want them gone given their danger to humans, they should be treated with care and removed, not exterminated in the case of home infestation. How to tell if you have an infestation? The most apparent sign of bats are the sounds they make; animals don’t tend to quiet, be it their vocalizations or the...

Chimney Sweeping Logs vs The Professionals

Nobody wishes to pay extra and wait for appointed times to get their chimneys cleaned; as such, people have turned to other solutions that cost less or frees up their schedules for other activities. For lawn mowing, some pay for others to do it for them. For food transportation, instead of driving to pick up, some elect to pay extra for delivery. Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to have a chimney cleaned when there's nice carpet around it?

Our professionals take great care to protect the homes of our customers. Leaving our workspace clean and beautiful is as important to us as the quality chimney care we provide.

How often should my chimney be swept?

Each chimney and fireplace is different, so there’s no perfect answer. The easiest way to know when your chimney needs cleaned is to have it inspected annually as recommended by the NFPA.

How long does it take for a team to arrive after requesting a visit?

We can typically make it to your home within 3-4 days of your initial call.

Do chimneys for gas fires need serviced?

Definitely; all flues can get blocked by debris from animals and exhaust from the fire can cause corrosive buildup. There is also risk that the venting system isn’t working properly if the gas stove was installed after the chimney. The installers are not necessarily interested in making sure the system is acceptable as much as getting it installed.

The go-to place to call when you need a fireplace cleaning. I use the Soot Masters for our chimney cleanings and inspections. I also have them clean and inspect a few of my rental properties in Crestview and Florida. Always on time and reliable.

Great chimney sweep, very knowledgeable, I never knew the dangers of creosote. They were very understandable and broke down chimney terms I felt like I could understand.

trick and his technician came out and worked on a repair. Now let me be frank here because I know absolutely nothing about chimneys and fireplaces and all of the inner workings, The only thing I know is that I’ve been having water issues and leaking issues since the last hurricane. My wife also noticed a very foul odor coming from the fireplace that would stink up the whole house. We are getting the house ready for the holidays and the last thing that we wanted was a house that stunk to high heavens.

The bottom line is Patrick and his crew remedied heart issue and we are now ready to burn our fireplace and the smells are all gone. Well worth the money spent and I can’t thank you enough.

Highly recommend these guys! Patrick was very patient and addressed all of my questions/concerns with the suggested repairs. Wayne and Scott completed the work while being considerate of my home and children (did not have to ask!). From the initial inspection to completion of the job, the company was very professional and easy to work with.

First class chimney sweeper that does very affordable inspections and chimney sweeps.
